Marty Fukuda

Marty, a Chicago native and graduate of Northern Illinois University has recently moved to North Carolina to assume the role of Chief Operating Officer for N2 Publishing. He joined N2 in 2007 as an Area Director and has since been involved in many roles including Region Coordinator, heading up the Client Coordinator Program, and National Training Director.
Brad LaLuzerne
CFO
I grew up in Wisconsin but had been living in northern California since 1995. I graduated from UW-Whitewater with a BA in accounting and have over 25 years experience, the last 15 years of which have been spent as CFO of VC-backed startups in the Silicon Valley. After the last startup I was at sold, I started consulting and just recently posted my resume on the job boards. Duane found it, we had a couple of phone interviews, then he flew me to Wilmington for my first time ever and I was hooked! I love the area and working at N2 has been great.
James Gieszelmann
CTO
I was born in St. Louis, MO, and got a bachelors in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. I've spent time developing document management software in Chicago, writing recording and transcription software in Kansas City, and creating Home Healthcare management software in Raleigh. I have spent much of the past year designing and developing the new portal, and managing the various developers we have had working on it. I am currently planning a wedding (read: Doing what my fiancé tells me to do) on June 2nd, 2012, and will be relocating to Wilmington shortly after that. I love playing guitar, fishing and competing in whatever sport I can.
Christie Joyce
Creative Director
Christie is originally from Madison, NC. She moved to Oak Island, NC after graduating high school. In the spring of 2005, she graduated from UNCW with a Bachelors degree in Studio Art with a focus in Graphic Design, in addition to a minor in Spanish. Christie started with N2 in the summer of 2005 as a part-time ad designer.
Robb Hotchkiss
Creative Director
Robb grew up in a small town called Newark, Ohio. There is not a whole lot of born and raised Wilmintonians, however Robb is a self-proclaimed local after moving to Wilmington from Ohio over 15 years ago. Robb attended school at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Studio Art, with a concentration in Graphic Design and Sculpture. Robb was the second designer hired at N2, and has seen the growth of N2 over the past 5 years.
Erich Nickens
Advertising Coordinator
Erich, originally from Pinehurst, NC, has resided in Wilmington, NC since arriving for college at UNC-Wilmington. Erich graduated with a BA in Studio Art with a focus in Graphic Design, and a minor in Creative Writing. After interning with N2 in his senior year, he began working full-time with the task of putting together the beginnings of the N2 Ad Department.
Becky Clapper

Becky is a native of Duncansville, Pennsylvania who attended Penn State, concentrating in English and art history. Even though all of her family remains in Pennsylvania, Becky now calls Wilmington, North Carolina home, where she lives with her two cats - Gypsy and Cricket. Quirk: If Becky doesn't laugh at your joke, you know it wasn't funny.
Laura Chinni

I grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland and moved to Wilmington 5 years ago to swim for the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I have two older brothers whom I have always been extremely close with and consider to be my best friends. I am passionate about swimming, Tom Petty, my dog Chewy, and my family. I also love the beach and would lay on it all day every day if I could! I am so excited to be a part of the N2 Publishing team!
Amber Rogerson

Amber grew up in the mountains of North Carolina. She attended North Carolina State University and gained a degree in Art and Design and Textile Technology. She and her husband moved to Wilmington, NC in 2008 and began working for N2 in May of that year. In her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening, sewing, painting, and creating something out of nothing. Amber enjoys spending time with her family and friends and working with the youth at her church.
Marie Nowell

Marie was born and raised in Frederick, MD, moving to North Carolina to attend college. She graduated from East Carolina University with a BFA in the spring of 2007. Since then, living in the Outer Banks, NC, moving back to Maryland, and having an incredible experience in Hawaii for several months have all been part of her travels until she recently joinedN2, making her way back to North Carolina.

Hello! My name is Krista DeWitt and I am one of the Graphic Designers for N2 Publishing and I love my job! I grew up in Lancaster, PA and moved down to Wilmington, NC when I was 12 year old and it has been my home ever since. I went to college at Campbell University for 2 years then transferred to Appalachian State University where I received my BFA in Graphic Design.
Adrienne Jensen

Adrienne, originally from Gainesville, Florida (Go Gators!) recently moved to North Carolina with her husband who is stationed at MCAS New River. Before making her move, she graduated with a BFA from Jacksonville University in Florida and then attended Boston University. She graduated from Boston University with a Masters of Fine Arts with a concentration in graphic design. Over the next year, Adrienne worked as a freelance designer in Gainesville before finding her place at N2.
Kylie Martin

Hailing from Raleigh NC, Kylie is one of our newest additions here at N2. Originally moving to Wilmington in 2005 to pursue a degree in film, she switched gears to the art program shortly after taking a class in graphic design. She continued her studies in various fields of design and graduated from UNCW in the fall of 2009 with a degree in studio art. Hobbies of hers are tennis, running, surfing, and crafting of any sort. She's thrilled to be a part of this amazing design team and looks forward to the growth of the company.
Angelina Garcia

Raised in Providence, RI, Angelina made the move to North Carolina to attend Meredith College where she received a degree in Graphic Design. Angelina enjoys taking the road less traveled...as long as she has a map and plenty of batteries and SD cards for her camera. She is also an avid reader and a self described caffeine addict. Angelina joined the N2 team in the fall of 2010.
Amanda Barnette

Amanda began at N2 as an intern in the fall of 2010 and will become a part of our team in 2011. She has a Bachelors degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Digital Arts. She is originally from the small town of Goldsboro, NC, but has learned to call Wilmington her home over the past 4 years. She currently lives with her boyfriend Travis and they are both avid movie watchers. She is a huge fan of Disney (having worked there for a five month period in 2009), she loves to cook and try new foods, and is addicted to HGTV.

Hello! My name is Diana Graham and I just recently moved to Wilmington and began working as a graphic designer for N2 Publishing. I grew up south of Charlotte, NC and graduated from East Carolina University with a BFA in Graphic Design. Besides design, I love music and going to concerts, but my favorite thing in life is my 10 year old lab/greyhound Cheerio . I am really excited to start this new part of my life here at N2 and in Wilmington!

Born in Pennsylvania, and raised on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, I have come to realize I’m fonder of the South, although I do miss the shopping! I recently graduated with a BFA from East Carolina University with a concentration in Graphic Design and minor in Art History. Working for a local graphic design firm back home over to the summer, I was thrilled to have landed a graphic design position at N2 Publishing in my location of choice, Wilmington! On a side note, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend Patrick, my dogs Buddha and Bonzer, and of course my family and friends. Life is good!
Joe Pihlblad

Joe is originally from Cleveland, OH and moved to Wilmington in the fall of 2011. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in May 2011 with a BS in Visual Communication Technology with a focus in Marketing. Moving down to North Carolina was a dream turned reality and he's stoked to be a part of the N2 design team. When not working you can usually find Joe watching any sport related to Cleveland (Browns, Indians, and Cavs) or THE Ohio State Buckeyes (O-H!), playing poker, hanging out with his dog (Tyson, Golden Retriever), or hanging out at the beach! He also looks forward to all the awesome people he's going to meet and the experiences he will have now that he's living in the South.

Kyle is originally from sunny Orlando, FL and later moved to the mountains near Asheville, NC. He received his bachelor of fine arts with a concentration in graphic design from Western Carolina University in 2011. He enjoys the great outdoors, staying active, music, design, and anything art. He also likes all sports and teams related to Florida, well not all; Florida State NOLES, Buccaneers and Orlando Magic to be exact. Excited to start his career with N2 Publishing, Kyle and his cat Doobs are looking forward to a fresh new start in Wilmington.

Abigail grew up in the small town of Amory, MS. She attended The University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!), where she received a BA in Studio Art with a concentration in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History. She was previously the Creative Director of a lifestyle publication out of Memphis; however, she is thrilled to have moved to Wilmington with her husband, Patrick, and is excited to start her relationship with the N2 team. She enjoys reading, all types of art and design, traveling (especially Sweden), and Ole Miss athletics.
Kim Kidd

Ask Kim where she is from, and without hesitation she’ll let you know Kansas City. And she is proud of it! Kim moved out to Wilmington in 2006, and has worked with N2 since that time. Kim works as a national editor, helping ensure spelling and grammatical accuracy. When not working with N2, you can find Kim saving lives in the back of an ambulance, as she is EMS certified. Quirk: Don’t try to out-quote Kim when it comes to movies. She’s that good.

Don was born in York, PA. His father worked in the aerospace field so they moved around the country quite a bit – 18 times by the time he was 21. Don earned an Associate's Degree in engineering technology and Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maryland in information systems management with a minor in graphic arts.

Originally from Philadelphia, PA I took a few years off after high school to explore the west coast. I eventually made my way back east to Boston where I received my Associates in Graphic Design. I have spent the last 8 years working for small to large, digital, offset, and flexographic printing companies in their design/pre-press departments. After spending way too many years battling New England winters, I discovered Wilmington and decided to make this my new home. Now I'm just waiting patiently for my boyfriend to sell his business up north so he can join me! I am a beach lover (hence the move to Wilmington) and yoga fanatic. I’m looking forward to my new adventures in North Carolina.

Hi! I'm Candy Baker and I was born and raised near Wilmington, NC. Yep, I am a true Southern gal! I moved to Charlotte, NC a couple of years ago when I married my husband, Jamie. Charlotte is great but if I had the chance, I would be back at the beach in a heartbeat. Living in Wilmington was like being on vacation every weekend. My only child is my seven year old yellow lab, Katie. I love working with N2 and have been blessed to work for such an awesome company. Quirk: Has an unhealthy love for Microsoft Excel.

I grew up in upstate New York. I reluctantly moved to Wilmington in 1999, in between my sophomore and junior year of high school when my dad had a job transfer here, but I am so grateful to be here now. I am blessed to have my immediate family living here in Wilmington. I love being an aunt to my 5 year old niece and 3 and 1 year old nephews. I also love volunteering with the youth at my church. I graduated from Campbell University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2005. I recently joined the billing department at N2 and am excited to be a part of the team!
Heidi Heigel

Heidi is a born and raised Michigander; and loves anything having to do with the outdoors until it snows! She is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in Interpersonal and Public Communications and minor in Broadcasting. One of Heidi's passions is to do voice over work for TV and Radio commercials; and she was trained by a former colleague of Howard Stern's. Quirk: A sportsman's dream…she loves the outdoors and fishing.
Stephanie Galyen
Field Support
Stephanie Galyen has had many roles while working for N2. She started working with Nick Metheny being his publishing assistant for his directories in the summer of 2007 while working a "corporate" job. Then, starting in January of 2009, she became Nick's sales rep for selling directories and newsletters, in addition to still doing the PA work for the directories. In the beginning of 2010, she began to also do the PA work for Nick's six newsletters – including ads and content.
Kori Sullivan

Kori Sullivan has been with N2 for 2 ½ years, working as the Editor/Publishing Assistant in the North Charlotte and Uptown Charlotte areas. Kori also was promoted this summer to NADT Trainer of the North, Northeast, South, and Central regions. Kori holds a B.S. in Communications: Video Production from Southern Connecticut State University and an M.A. in English: Children's Literature from the University of North Carolina Charlotte.
Bill Borhauer

Bill Borhauer began working with N2 in October 2007, working as a sales rep/publishing assistant in the Elgin and Algonquin area with Area Director Chris Wirsing in the Central region. Bill was promoted this past summer to Production Manager for the Gregg's Landing Life publication in Vernon Hills. Shortly after that, Bill was also brought on as New Area Director Trainer for the Home Office this past fall, primarily for the Central and Eastern regions. Bill has worn many different hats while working with N2 in a short period of time. Bill's favorite part of the job is working with so many different people on a daily basis. Meeting new members of the community he is a part of and helping the new Area Directors get started with the opening process keeps Bill happy and busy.

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and attended the University of Colorado in Boulder. After receiving my degree in Computer Science in 2005, I accepted a development position in Kansas City, Missouri. In close to four years I managed to learn what it takes to be a professional software developer, meet lots of great friends and find a wife. In 2009 my wife and I relocated to the west coast and currently live in Hollywood, California. When we’re not sitting in traffic or working hard, we try to enjoy all of the unique places and activities the city has to offer.
